Capt. Gulati, Chairman of the Company, is the first person in the country to develop ISV
barges operating in international waters. He is a well-known figure in the shipping
fraternity - especially in the field of small crafts, right from planning, designing, to
building and operating.

Needless to add, in the
developing world, new ports are being created and hence the need for shallow-water crafts
is ever-increasing. In-depth knowledge of the equipment involved and its expert handling,
cuts down on costs tremendously and also saves considerable time. We have rendered service
in all these categories, thus making the operations economical, and more importantly,
profitable to the customer.
The Company has a rich experience and is well-versed with barging operations on behalf of
various ship-owners and trade clients. The experience has been of immense assistance in
areas of shallow waters, congested ports and different coastal requirements.

Ship-Broking

Crystal has, on behalf of various Indian and foreign shipowners, successfully negotiated
sale and purchase of second-hand vessels including specialised tonnage. Backed by the rich
experience of our Chairman and Managing Director in the field of ship and barge-building,
Crystal has secured good orders for new construction with efficient economic levels and
timely delivery schedules. |

Charter Broking
The Company is involved in cross-chartering worldwide and associated with international
network of correspondent on behalf of charterers as well as shipowners and also act as
exclusive brokers for some reputed trading houses/shipowners.
International
Project movement
We offer to our Indian and international clients, carriage and consultancy for their
project movement in or out of India and cross-country. Crystal offers contract service,
carriage for oversize, heavy lift and project cargoes. Crystal has successfully completed
a number of projects to various destinations. |

Crystal holds the record
for loading the biggest item out of India . With our experience, we have carried out door
to door products ranging from Cement plant, Sugar plant, Thermal power plant, Transmission
line equipment, to name a few. We have also organised fabrication, supply of
manpower, equipment, etc to offshore industry.

This project of a complete plant in breakdown condition was shipped by us wherein many
heavy packages including a pressure vessel of 106MT, the biggest and heaviest piece to be
loaded out of Mumbai Port ever- which is a RECORD set by Crystal Shipping. Total cargo
consisted of 25,000MT/40,000CBM. |

Door to door delivery
" Crystal Shipping undertakes door-to-door delivery services for project cargoes and
bulk cargoes. Presently, Crystal has effected the door-to-door delivery of 1,18,000 Tons
Cement Clinker two years ago, 130,000MT last year in bulk which comprised of road
transportation of Clinker from factory to port, forwarding, making shipping arrangements,
subsequently road/rail transport for delivery upto receiver's factory with additional
responsibilities of quality analysis undertaken and further 230,000MT scheduled for this
year. "
Over and above Crystal is in final stages of contracting additional 500,000MT Cement
Clinker per year for period of five years.
For this Crystal has taken three vessels on long term charter since last year for
contractual performance, besides taking intermediate charters.
Commodity
Trading
Crystal is dealing in minerals, food stuff, selected engineering items, scrap, salt,
general trading, the company is accredited being the first to export edible salt into west
African country against world wide competition. |
